A natural plateau in Riviera Maya!

Updated: Sep 24, 2018

It was my birthday weekend when we decided to celebrate it in Riviera Maya. It was a great escape from a cloudy weather in he US to finally enjoy a good sun front of crystal clear Caribbean waters. First day we spent it at the beach getting as much as we could from the beautiful weather in Mexico.

The view from our room at the Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort & Spa!

The second day we decided to go to Tulum. Tulum is perhaps the best known for its world-famous archaeological site, an ancient Mayan port city perched on a cliff overlooking sandy beaches.

We started our discovery with Tulum ruins than snorkeling their cavern waters which was so much fun. Finally a light lunch at the beach and we spent the rest of the day swimming and tanning. I know, I know the most fun part of the escape is swimming :)

That was it, back to the hotel for an awesome Italian dinner and got ready for our flight next morning.

Either it's a weekend or a week. Front of the beach or hiking a mountain. Make yourself happy and enjoy the most of it. Just by leaving your home, you might meet good friends just down the street. That is considered a trip as well ;)

I was born and raised in Morocco and am passionate about traveling. While living in Morocco I could travel to many unique places and meet people with whom a few became close friends. I have extensive experience in office administration including a good ten years in hospitality management but sitting in offices is not my cup of tea. And this is how I decided to quit my job and travel the world!
